GENERAL PRODUCT INFORMATION
The “Xpert” introduced in 2015 is a new “state of the art” shearing machine – part of the Heiniger “X” series which will start to replace many of the previous heavy duty models which it could be said are starting to acquire a rather “dated” look with the passing of time.

A Swiss designed and engineered machine that is technically modern looking with new smooth lines compared to the previous model. Certainly from the practical aspect of shearing this will be a far nicer machine to handle! The 200 watt motor provides a powerful heavy duty machine that offers both the farmer and small flock owner a fully professional “tool” whatever the breed of sheep and irrespective of whether you are “dagging” or full body shearing.

The hand grip is a smoother line that allows your hand to rise up and fit snugly into the “neck” – allowing a more natural holding position. The handpiece body is shaped, with a slender body casing made in re-enforced fibreglass producing a smooth casing material. The upper casing is a contrasting blue with a light black pattern which complements the traditional red “Heiniger” label. The lower casing is in black – as is the sliding upper and side rear positioned air filter. According to the manufacturer a patented floating fork system in the head to provide an even pressure across the comb and cutter, this results in using less pressure and extends the life of the comb and cutter by up to 50%.

Always read the manual and the instructions before you start any actual dagging or shearing, no matter how experienced you maybe (this is a new machine and may vary from your past experiences!) Regular applications of oil as with any make of clipping/shearing machine are important to keep the blades and head cool when in use. Correctly operated this machine produces some highly impressive “quality” shearing clips, and if looked after will last many years.

This shearing machine also takes cutters and combs from the LONGHORN, AESCULAP & LISTER range as well as most other traditional sizes. Cutters and combs of the narrow style are not suitable.
