Seen overall probably the current top rated motor in the handpiece shearing machine on the market!
Lightweight – little over one kilo!
Slim body – perfect for the smaller hand!
Noise level – low with minimal vibration!
Length – very compact!
Out of all the shearing machines as yet created the Hauptner 2000S has to be one of the finest German designed “motor in the hand piece” shearing machines created. Engineered and made in Germany for absolute end user reliability whether you are a small flock owner, sheep farmer or owner of an Alpaca stud.
When this machine was first launched around the year 2000 it signalled the breaking away from the last century of those heavy and cumbersome machines and set down a clear bench mark for all manufacturers to note! This was a new century, and new beginning in clipper and shearing machine design! Today even allowing for the advances in machine technology the Hauptner 2000S is still as outstanding as it was when first launched.. Like most German made products – this is a machine you can buy with confidence!
When Hauptner created the “2000” range a new generation of machines was born! For the first time a manufacturer had taken note of the long heralded needs of the end user and produced the goods! Lightweight! Slim! Compact! Low noise level! This was and still is a machine for those who are in the market for the best, those who buy well and expect years of service! Throughout the UK there are Hauptner clippers whose owners who can boast long service records of twenty or thirty more years and still going strong! Powered by a permanent energised motor and resulted in a low energy output which gave a greater degree of operational quietness. Double insulated. The speed output is virtually constant between idle running and clipping.
The Hauptner 2000S is rightly a very popular choice with most lady sheep flock owners and those who have alpaca studs, due to the comfortable handling, slim handpiece, shorter length and lightweight feel. Of all the machines on the market of its type it must be one if not the most pleasant to hold and from personal experience is an absolute pleasure to use.
The same standard of quality and engineering applies to Hauptner cutter and comb blades. Made from Solingen steel these are quality blades which if re-sharpened correctly will give endless years of service. The Hauptner 2000S can be fitted with either Hauptner cutters or comb blades or will use Longhorn, Lister, Heiniger or Aesculap cutters and combs. PLEASE NOTE: Narrow style cutters and combs cannot be used on this shearing head.

PLEASE NOTE! HAUPTNER 2000S – INTERNAL REPAIRS
For those wishing to carryout repairs on the above machines please note the upper and lower body casings are secured with three “security screws.” This is a EU safety feature becoming increasingly common to meet legislation both in Europe and the UK and is designed to safeguard against non-professional repair attempts that might involve potential electrical risk. There are two types of specialist body screws, which are changed during batch manufacturer, both requiring special screw driver tips to undo them. As far as we have been able to ascertain there are no tips of this nature available from traditional UK tool stockists. Clearly using the wrong tip or instrument runs the risk of damaging the body screw head to a point where it become impossible to unscrew.
