A medium blade.

Another medium blade – distinguished by its “ribbed” lower facing plate. More open toothed than the size #10 blade – around a 1.5mm tooth gap.

This blade is identical to the Oster #9 in cutting length.

If you clip with this size blade, and follow the grain of the coat and you will get a slightly longer coat length finish than if you had used the #10 but slightly shorter than when using a #8.5.

A popular sized blade to use when clipping the crown of the head and arch of the neck of a Cocker Spaniel. Also well worth using on the cheeks and front of the neck of sensitive Poodles to produce a very effective finish.

Should prove a useful sized blade to complement the clip length of traditional blades on horse’s bodies, especially when working on the face, or legs. The wider tooth gap should prove easier through greasy areas.

Note: Comb attachments should only be used on well-groomed coats and not those, which are tangled or matted.
This size blade is regularly used on Spaniels, Terriers, Poodles as well many other breeds, and is often used with an attachment comb.
