| BLADES - LISCOP - Lia6 - Standard - cattle Product code: CB0036 Whilst strictly a standard blade for cattle the Li-A6 blade is popular with horse owners as a coarse clip and is good on many leg "feathers." (A fine 2mm cattle clip will be obtained according to how you angle the head when clipping, whilst if you clip with the blade flat you will achieve a 4mm clip)

Fine blade for use on horses, but equally at home we suspect on a number of dairy cattle requiring a close clip - i.e. udder etc
One cautionary note- on many horses and especially "Greys" the skin often appears very pink due to the closeness of the clip.

| BLADES - MOSER - CERABLADE - Wide - 2.3mm Product code: CB0137 Blade cutting depth: 2.3mm Cutting width: 63mm/2.5-inches
This blade is the standard blade as supplied with the MOSER "AVALON" cordless clipper.
German made, this heralds a new concept in blade design and construction. One of the first "Ceramic" coated or powered blades. The "ceramic" coated wide blade is known to be excellent on virtually all Thro'bred coat types, and has been found to cope very well on the thick coats of many cobs.
There is evidence to suggest it is not entirely happy when used on the coat of the Shetland breed. Occasionally one finds the odd cob or native to which the blade appears not suited, but generally end-users speak very highly of it.
Feather and coarse leg hair can also cause problems for many blades of this type. Often this area is best tackled with a more open toothed narrow blade, from which there are a good number to select from.
It should be realised that a "ceramic" coated wide blade will loose its "ceramic" coating with subsequent lapping and over a period of such sharpenings it will return to the status of a "steel" blade. This is still a totally usable blade but is no longer "ceramic".
As this is probably the best wide detachable blade for use on horses, currently available, it is recommended that it should be seriously considered for use on other detachable blade type clippers, such as the Laube 555, Thrive Super 50, Oster Power Pro especially when full body clipping is being attempted.
