DO NOT!
BLADE OPERATIONAL USES:All Oster "detachable blades" are made in the USA using high carbon steel to give an extended cutting life. The Groom Master blade range which embrace three blades fine, medium and coarse are designed for the cutting of matted and heavy coats of the larger dog breeds. However with the introduction of the Laube mains and cordless clipper range back in the early nineteen nineties these blade where quickly adopted for use in trimming out show cattle especially those exhibited in the late autumn fatstock classes. Quite whether Oster approved of their use on these machines remains debatable, and a number of "additions" appeared on the blades suggesting Oster did not approve. However these "preventatives" could be easily over come with a little "ingenuity" and so for this market these blades remained a firm favourite. The medium #7 blade is smooth toothed with a bevel and produces a medium clip favoured by many beef cattle exhibitors to give a professional finish to their summer show and autumn fatstock exhibition entry. This range of blades is designed for faster, easier feeding of the coat on matted animals or for use on larger breeds with subsequently thicker and heavier coats. Could well suit horse owners seek a very slightly extra depth of coat or less close cut on legs. These blades do not accommodate the attachment combs BLADE INFORMATION:All whom clip should be aware that irrespective of either the type and make of machine used or the type of blades selected ALL blades can become blunt at a moment's notice. This is not normally connected with, nor a fault of, the clipping machine, but more likely one of several factors most common of which are (not in any order of priority!)
ALWAYS HAVE A SPARE SET OF SHARPENED BLADES AVAILABLE BEFORE YOU START TO CLIP AN ANIMAL Blade Storage:When not in use, and having been thoroughly cleaned and oiled, the blades should be wrapped in a "grease" proof type paper and stored in a dry place preferably in your house. Any traces of rust will diminish the operational performance of the blades and may subsequently affect the clipping performance. Do not leave in blades in tack rooms or stables. The same should apply to your clipper. Additional Information:These blades are available from Peasridge 01424 882900 or e-mail PEASRIDGE info@peasridge.co.uk to order your new blades. Orders received before 3pm will normally be shipped the same day for next day delivery.
