DO NOT!

  • Touch the blades when moving!
  • Switch the machine on with loose or missing blades. (In the interests of safety ensure that both blades are tightly seated.)
  • Clip at an angle to the body as this may increase the potential to cut the skin. Try to keep the blade flat to the contour of the body. Stretch any loose skin.
  • Not attempt to alter the tension mechanism of the detachable blade set. This is set at the factory, any alteration can affect the performance of your clipper
  • Push the clipper blades through the hair in an attempt to force them to clip. Allow the blades to do the work.
  • Immerse either the machine or cutter head in liquid (oil/diesel/lubricant) of any kind.

BLADE OPERATIONAL USES:

Similar blade to the AG/BG 3.75/13mm skip tooth, except that the FC blade gives a velvety and smoother finish. It has become a popular blade and is widely used in situations, when there is a call for a longer coat finish, and in many instances the blade does away with the need for a comb attachment in order to achieve a greater depth of “finished” coat.

A number of breeds benefit from use with this blade, these including the Bearded Collie, Shih Tzu, Silky and Yorkshire Terrier when the blade is used for the body aspect of the puppy trim. For a “Plush” look try it on the body of the Bichon Frise.

Used for the body of the Poodle, the Portuguese Water Dog, the Bedington, Terrier, the body and side areas of the Bouvier Des Flandres. Used also on the body and tail of the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier.

Suitable for a shorter body trim on the Pekingese and a shorter pet trim on the Old English Sheepdog. For a puppy trim finish it can be used on both the Lhasa Apso and Maltese, and for the body, back, sides and tail of the Kerry Blue Terrier.

A useful blade for cat, - but only those which are not matted.

BLADE INFORMATION:

All whom clip should be aware that irrespective of either the type and make of machine used or the type of blades selected ALL blades can become blunt at a moment's notice. This is not normally connected with, nor a fault of, the clipping machine, but more likely one of several factors most common of which are (not in any order of priority!)

  1. In sufficient oiling by the operator
  2. Incorrect or bad sharpening
  3. Dirt and dust accumulated in the animals coat

ALWAYS HAVE A SPARE SET OF SHARPENED BLADES AVAILABLE BEFORE YOU START TO CLIP AN ANIMAL

Blade Storage:

When not in use, and having been thoroughly cleaned and oiled, the blades should be wrapped in a "grease" proof type paper and stored in a dry place preferably in your house. Any traces of rust will diminish the operational performance of the blades and may subsequently affect the clipping performance.

Do not leave in blades in damp situations. The same should apply to your clipper.
