MAKING A PURCHASE
Making a purchase could not be easier. You can order any products displayed on this website "on-line" or if you prefer by telephoning Peasridge (01424 882900/882211) or by visiting our showroom. Our office hours are Mondays to Friday's 0930 hrs to1700 hrs. We are closed on Saturdays/Sundays and all Bank Holidays.

To order "on-line" just browse our web store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

If you are a resident in the Scottish Highland, UK off shore islands or an overseas purchaser shipping costs will vary according to the total weight of your goods, and the delivery address.

In order to charge you the correct shipping cost we will e-mail you an exact price once this has been calculated according to the delivery rate you have selected. If on the receipt of this additional cost you wish to cancel your order please advise us so that a refund of your payment may be made.

If you prefer to place your order "off-line" this is possible. Please click on the Peasridge "nav bar" above and select "INFORMATION" then from the resulting drop down menu, please highlight "Ordering Off-line" and follow the instructions on how to place your order.

We accept credit card or debit card payment, which includes the following:

Please note: Residents of certain African and other International countries may be excluded from making credit card payments. In such cases only payment by "wired money transfer" direct to our bankers will be accepted. You will be informed if a credit card payment is not accepted.

Whilst we have taken precautions to ensure that your card details are handled in a safe and secure way over the Internet, if you prefer to supply card payment details by either telephone, fax, or snail mail this is of course acceptable.

E-mail acknowledgement will be made when confirmation of an order is received; this is to indicate that we have received your order. At this point however it does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we issue and send you an invoice.

We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in product pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some manufacturing or other reason.

In the case of a change of price, due to so many products listed price may change from time to time and whilst we make every effort to update our web site on a daily basis occasions can occur when a price change is not recorded. We reserve the right to discontinue any item/s or change any price/s when necessary, and without prior notification.

In the event of any price error or price difference to that shown on the web site we will always contact you first to ensure that the revised price is acceptable and that you wish to proceed with purchase in part or full, before taking payment from your card.

VALUE ADDED TAX:
Full payment, including any relevant postage/shipping charges and UK Value Added Tax at the current standard rate of 17.5% must be made when ordering goods. We regret we do not despatch goods in full or in part without full cleared payment.

VAT is included except where goods are "zero rated." Residents of EU Countries will be required to pay the standard UK vat rate current at the time of ordering unless they hold a valid vat number for their country of residence and submit the same to us at the point of ordering.

Goods shipped to a UK address for forwarding to an EU address attract the full rate of UK vat rate current at the time of ordering irrespective of the customer supplying a valid EU vat number. (This is a ruling of the UK Customs & Excise)

Customers resident outside the EU countries are not required to pay the UK vat rate current at the time of ordering. Any taxes imposed by the "importing" country are deemed the responsibility of the importing customer.

We reserve the right to amend the VAT rate immediately in the event of a change of rate percentage by the British Government, without prior notification.

We try to ensure all orders are shipped the same day as the customers order is received and payment is cleared. Delays usually only occur if we are out of stock of a product item and have been unable to contact you, or there is a data problem on the payment or delivery address. Hence the importance of providing a contact phone number or e-mail address.

SHIPPING & HANDLING
Our aim is to despatch your goods the same day as the order is received and payment cleared. Goods destined for the UK are shipped either by Royal Mail or by Parcel Force Carrier Services according to their weight.

All UK deliveries with the possible exception of remote parts of Scotland and rural areas of Wales, should by either service be received the next day. Occasionally for reasons beyond our control this may extend to two or in some case even three days. Some items may not be delivered by the Royal Mail on a Saturday.

UK POSTAL & SHIPPING CHARGES:
We charge the only the minimum postage and insurance rates that will ensure the safe and speediest delivery of your order. All parcels over 2kgs are sent out from our offices daily Monday to Friday's by carrier on a standard 24hr service. Parcels/packages below this weight band are sent by the Royal Mail.

POSTAGE RATES for UK MAINLAND ONLY excluding the Scottish Highlands, all off shore Islands, Northern Ireland, and the Isles of Man/Wight.

Total order value under £150.00 nett value (£176.25 gross value)

ROYAL MAIL DELIVERY FAILURES
We use three Royal Mail services, occasionally the postal system, which works satisfactorily for 98% of deliveries malfunctions and a shipment fails to reach its destination on time. As we are unlikely to be aware of this, it is important you contact us to notify a failed delivery. Information about investigation for each service is given below.

Royal Mail First and Second Class:
Items sent by this service require a statutory number of 5 working days to elapse before checks can be made to investigate a possible loss or failure of delivery.

Royal Mail Recorded Delivery:
This service records the delivery by obtaining a signature for the item/s when a delivery is made. No tracking check is possible. This is a Post Office ruling over which we have no control.

Royal Mail Special Delivery:
The ability to be able to track your goods shipped by this service via the Internet will enable you to establish their position in the delivery process at any given time. A tracking number will be sent to you once shipment is effected.

CARRIER DELIVERY FAILURES
98% of deliveries arrive satisfactorily and on time. Very occasionally the carrier system malfunctions and a shipment fails to reach its destination on time. Whilst there is often a valid reason for this we are unlikely to be aware of the situation so it is important you contact us to notify any failed delivery.

However the ability to be able to track your goods shipped by this service via the Internet will enable you to establish their position in the delivery process at any given time. A tracking number will be sent to you once shipment is effected.

SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS, all off shore Islands, Northern Ireland, and the Isles of Man/Wight:
As the rates for these places may vary considerably we prefer to treat each order as an individual item and notify you of the actual cost involved rather than operate a single "blanket" charge. Therefore an - e-mail will be sent to you with the specific shipping cost.

PLEASE NOTE: Goods shipped by Carrier on Fridays are delivered on the following Monday. There is no normal Saturday delivery. Special deliveries can be arranged for Saturday up to 12 noon but will attract a considerably higher charge by the carrier. Requests for special Saturday deliveries must be made by e-mail so that we can inform you of the additional cost.

Our Carriers - Parcel Force - deliver between the hours of 0730 and 1800 Mondays to Fridays. All goods shipped by Carrier require to be signed for. (See also "Damaged goods.") Customers are expected to make suitable arrangements to receive goods shipped by Carrier. Our Carriers WILL NOT leave goods, which are unsigned for. Customers who do not make suitable arrangements to receive goods will be required to pay a further delivery charge if as a result the goods have to be delivered a second time.

Once a shipped item has entered the shipping process it becomes trackable via the Internet and you will be able to see its progress on a daily basis. To achieve this we will supply you with the appropriate tracking number.

Certain exceptionally heavy products may incur a shipping surcharge above our normal rates. You would be notified of this at the point of ordering.

CARRIER DELIVERY FAILURES
Occasionally the shipping system, which works satisfactorily for 98% of deliveries malfunctions and a shipment fails to reach its destination on time. As we are unlikely to be aware of this, it is important you contact us to notify a failed delivery.

Once your goods have entered the shipping process they becomes trackable via the Internet and you will be able to see their progress on a daily basis. In order you can achieve this we will supply you with the appropriate tracking number.

EU & INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:
Due to the wide range and substantial weight differences of our product range we prefer to quote customers precise shipping rates including adequate insurance cover against loss or damage. Our normal practice is to offer two rates - a fast shipment and a standard shipment time, you can then select your preference. This also gives us the opportunity to display shipping charges in both GBP and your national currency, which you may find helpful in accessing the cost of shipping. All shipping rates are actual costs charges by the selected carrier and do not contain any added sum by us.

DAMAGED GOODS:
In the event of goods being damaged in transit, or defective manufacturer's workmanship, we must be notified within 7 days of delivery for any exchange or refund of payment to be made. We are unable to consider any claims for damaged goods after this period.

All goods must be returned to our offices before a replacement or refund can be activated.

Please carefully check your goods on arrival. Packaging, which show signs of damage in transit, should be signed for as 'DAMAGED - Contents not inspected'.

EU & INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING DELIVERY FAILURES
Very occasionally the shipping system, which works satisfactorily for most deliveries malfunctions and a shipment fails to reach its destination on time. As we are unlikely to be aware of this, it is important you contact us to notify a failed delivery.

Once a consignment has entered the International shipping process it can often be tracked via the Internet and you should be able to see the progress of your shipment on a daily basis. To achieve this you will be sent the appropriate tracking number.

Subject to cleared payment we usually ship good intended for these areas the same day providing the packaging is completed before the mid afternoon collection time. Details regarding shipping transit times will have previously been confirmed with you by e-mail

OVERSEAS SHIPMENTS:
Our priority is to despatch your goods the same day as payment is cleared. Subject to both the selected shipping service and the destination, the period of time in shipment may vary from a minimum of 2 working days to 14 working days. However you will have been informed of the time period when making your selection of shipping rate.

The ability to be able to track your goods via the Internet should enable you establish their position in the delivery process at any given time. A tracking number will be sent to you once shipment is effected.

On rare occasions the shipping system, which works satisfactorily for almost all deliveries, malfunctions and a shipment fails to reach its destination on time. As we are unlikely to be aware of this, it is important you contact us to notify a failed delivery. This should not be done until the full delivery time has expired.

Please note:: It is very important that the delivery address is manned by someone in a position to receive your shipment during normal working hours, if you yourself are not able to.

GOODS DAMAGED IN TRANSIT:
In the event of goods being damaged in transit, or defective manufacturer's workmanship, we must be notified within 7 days of delivery for any exchange or refund of payment to be made. . We are unable to consider any claims for damaged goods after this period. Please check your goods on arrival. Goods, which show signs of damage in transit, should be signed for as 'DAMAGED'. This is important as it affects the right of financial recovery from the carrier.
BACK ORDERS
We take pride in the fact that every year we achieve full shipment of well over 99% of all orders received. On rare occasions a situation can arise when for a variety of reasons beyond our control, we are not able to complete your order. In this situation you will be notified of any short fall in your order and of a likely date when we expect to be in a position to fulfil the order. In certain cases it may be possible to offer you an equal substitute at the same or similar price.

You can then elect to cancel the item/s or the total order, place the total order on hold until the non supplied product/s is/are available, accept any suitable substitute/s available or request a "back order." In the event of a back order placement, the product/s will be shipped free of charge at the first available date.
TAX CHANGES
An official Peasridge invoice accompanies every order and is normally included in your shipment unless otherwise requested. The Invoice will clearly show the VAT content of your purchase. The invoice document has the Peasridge registered vat number recorded on it and should be retained safely both for vat purposes and as proof of purchase for any warranty claim or for the purposes of exchange or return of goods.

It is a UK/EU statutory requirement that VAT (Value Added Tax) is included, except where goods are "zero rated." on all items purchased by UK residents. If as a business you are VAT registered you will of course be able to claim the vat content of any invoice back.

Residents of EU Countries are required to pay the full standard UK vat rate current at the time of ordering unless they hold a valid vat number registered in their country and submit the same to us at the point of ordering.

CREDIT CARD SECURITY
When the order is placed on our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

For over two decades Peasridge Mail Order trading has been conducted in an honourable and fair manner to all our customers many of whom have been trading with us over a similar period.

We strive to select and display a range of products, which are derived from manufacturers noted for quality rather than attractive prices, and above all willing to stand by their products if and when any defects occur. Any manufacture not up to that standard will find their business relations with Peasridge cease immediately.

We are appreciative that accidental end user abuse of products can occur, and therefore try to make sure customers are fully aware of the importance of selecting the right product/s for the task in hand. Our 30-day returns guarantee means that if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to us in its original condition within 30 days of the date you received the item, unopened (with any seals, packaging or shrink-wrap intact) and we will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item (Please see our Returns Policy below.)

(Please note: We can only accept the return of opened items if they are faulty.

Many of our products listed carry manufacturer's warranty certificates and these are dealt with under the terms of the warranty. Some of the smaller items where a certificate of guarantee or warranty is not usual, providing there is no evidence of user abuse, we will of course either replace or repair the item free of charge at our discretion.

Customers are requested to notify us immediately a problem is detected with any product, which is under guarantee. Customers who leave the reporting of any defect until the guarantee period has expired will have their claim disallowed.

We appreciate that for some customers the weekend is the only available time to visit our shop. Appointments can be made for Saturday am visits between 1000 hrs and 1230 hrs.

RETURNS POLICY
We have made every effort to provide true, frank and accurate descriptions of each and every product, either as supplied by the manufacturers or as a result of our or other professional users experiences. Customers are encouraged to contact and discuss the application of any product with us before they make a purchase.

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive, which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm

Your Right to Cancel:
Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any item until within 7 working days of delivery (starting the day after you receive the goods). This is a UK statutory right. This will apply to your order unless you order includes a product where the item has been unsealed.

Should you cancel the contract and return goods which having been order on-line, and on receipt of delivery are found to be unsuitable for whatever reason other than defect or damage, we will on receiving the goods back, then refund you the price you have paid for the goods but not for any service provided by us, such as the original shipment cost or any special delivery service. The cost of returning the goods will be deemed the customers responsibility.

Goods established as either damaged or defective - this having been confirmed by a professionally qualified engineer, will be either replaced as new, professionally repaired, exchanged for an alternative machine, or a refund of the purchase price made according to the customer's preference.

The cost of returning damaged/defective goods will be deemed the customers responsibility.

Goods found to be damaged/defective/unsuitable:

You are under a duty to take reasonable care of the goods, which means the goods must be unused.

Any item may be returned and the value cost refunded providing it meets the following criteria:

All goods must be returned as sold, i.e. in the original packaging with all components and accessories.

Goods must be complete, unused, and in NEW condition (e.g. if you have opened the box to examine the product it must have been done so without damaging the box and packaging or damaging the product in any way) and must be re-packaged as received.

Goods must be returned to us within 14 days from receipt. We are unable to accept returns of un-wanted and non-faulty items after the 14days.

Only when goods are received at our offices can a refund payment be authorised and activated.

Clipper Parts

We do not accept the return of clipper parts as ordered on the Peasridge website unless and providing they are proven faulty at the time of supply or found to have been damaged in transit upon being received.

We require be informed within FIVE WORKING days of the shipment date regarding any damage or faults by either e-mail, telephone fax or letter. A copy of the relevant invoice must be available.

In the event of either faulty at the time of supply or damaged in transit we will re-supply the customer free of charge and shipping cost.

Parts ordered, shipped, received and subsequently found to be incorrect will not be accepted for refund either of the price paid or the shipping cost involved. It is most important therefore that customers check independently that the order part is correct.

Whilst we publish parts diagrams for visual assistance, the customer is required to be certain the part listed/ordered is the correct item for the repair. We accept no responsibility for either manufacturer's changes or errors. Diagrams are updates when the information is received from the manufacturer.


Law and Jurisdiction:

This Web site will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and the Courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all matters.

REMITTANCE TERMS
All payments are required to be made in GBP currency. (British pounds.) Any other currency rates either shown on the Peasridge website or given in e-mail correspondence are for customer convenience, and are not consider part of any binding sales contract. All invoices are produced in GBP.

All payments for products must be paid in full including any relevant taxes and appropriate shipping charges before any goods will be shipped either in full or part. We do not operate nor offer a 30-day or any other credit type accounts system on any on-line transaction. All transactions are strictly full payment with order.

We reserve the right to decline payment in respect of an order from any person, persons related or appointed agents making on-line transactions, and shall not be required to give any reason for such a decision.

We reserve the right to require "wired money bank transfer" in favour of credit card payment for any on-line transaction and shall not be required to give any reason for such a decision. In such instances payment details outlining how to make a "wired money bank transfer" will be provided.
