POSTAGE CHARGE INCREASES.
After holding our current UK shipping rate at a gross figure of £5.00 for over 3 years and managing to absorb many of the fuel and postage increases imposed, it is regretted we are now forced to make adjustment to our charges.
From 7th April 2008 the Royal Mail and their carrier Parcel Force introduced a range of price increases covering postal services they offer for the both the UK mainland and International shipping.
As a Mail Order House, over 95% or our business is dependant on a form of shipment whether by Royal Mail or by Carrier, and we are heavily dependant upon the service and efficiency of others to distributed orders to customers both swiftly and at a reasonable cost.
We are of the opinion the cheaper carrier services do not provide the standard we seek to ensure swift and secure delivery to our customers, many of whom are dependant on next day delivery and we shall strive to continue to provide this standard on every occasion
For Overseas customers we are acutely aware and constantly mindful that in most countries world wide, the shipping of goods on an equal basis is invariably a lot cheaper than the excessively high UK rates imposed by international carriers for reasons hard to understand. We shall continue our policy of only charging the actual cost incurred by us for swift and fully insured shipments.
Please note
With effect 1st MAY 2008
postage costs for UK MAINLAND ONLY excluding the SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS, all off shore Islands, Northern Ireland, and Isles of Man/Wight, will be increased to -
A minimum postal charge of £6.00 (inc. VAT) on all orders where the gross value is under £150.00 nett value (£176.25 gross value) .
Orders over £150.00 nett value (£176.25 gross value) will be CARRIAGE FREE.
All EUROPEAN & INTERNATIONAL. shipments will continue to be charges at the actual cost involved to us, and which customers are notified before payment or shipment is effected
