GENERAL PRODUCT INFORMATION:
German made shearing machine engineered to give a highly reliable performance. Unfortunately as it is not more widely advertised in livestock circles too few people appreciate it's potential and value. The innovative design style featured around a slim shaped hand piece and incorporates a combination of balance and lightness.

A heavy-duty machine, with a unique motor design, smooth running, with low noise level and virtually vibration free and will shear all day without over heating due to the improved ventilation system. Fitted with internal electronic speed control with overload protection.

The high cutting strokes per minute ensure the operator precision shearing to the highest standards. Fitted with all round air filters at the rear of the hand piece it is an easy machine to service and clean. Once set up and correctly tensioned, which takes but a few moments, the machine is a joy to shear with, and it will keep shearing away all day if regularly lubricated. When sheep with tighter wool are encountered one gets an appreciation of the high quality engineering and the power of the efficient motor.

GENERAL PRODUCT INFORMATION:
This powerful German machine is engineered to perfection resulting in absolute professional reliability. Powered by a newly designed permanent energised motor, it is renowned for its lightweight, ultra slim handling ability and is a delight to operate.

With low noise level and with almost no vibration the new engine design results in low energy output, and a greater degree of operational quietness. Double insulated. The speed output is virtually constant between idle running and clipping. Blade tensioning as with all machines is all-important to achieve the best shearing results, and this requires "fine tuning" rather than over tensioning. Regular applications of oil are important to keep the aluminium head cool.

With most motor in the hand piece shearing machines being bulky and heavy by nature, it is a pleasure to find the Hauptner 2000 "breaking the mould" As a result it is a popular choice due to the comfortable handling, slim handpiece, shorter length and lightweight feel. Perfect for the smaller hand, it is an excellent machine for cleaning cattle, clipping alpacas, as well as shearing sheep.

One cautionary note. When we tried to fit Lister and Heiniger cutters and combs on the test model they did not fit. Maybe our machine or the cutters and comb were at fault. The distributor assures us however they do take both makes of blades. If however they don't fit then the cutter and comb blade range is very limited.

One of the excellent features of Heiniger products is apart from making top quality machines they give the end user a blade for almost every occasion! GENERAL PRODUCT INFORMATION:

German made machine, very well engineered giving a reliable performance. The powerful 430-watt motor producing 30,000 rpm when not under load gives produces smooth low-level sound. The aluminium head housing has a special dual purpose ventilating system for motor, gearbox and the cutters and combs. The gearbox is completely capsuled to protect against dust and wool with the gears being permanently lubricated.

Optimum pressure is maintained on the cutters by the gentle pressure exerted via the tension nut. New innovations and technology include a 15% reduction in overall body weight, a newly designed fan to reduce noise, and increase air-cooling in both the motor and the shearing head. A new thermoplastic housing the motor to add weight reduction, with glass fibre strengthening, new damp proof condenser, and improvements to benefit routine servicing.

Generally a nice smooth sounding machine, and one, which performs well in, field conditions. Providing you hold the hand piece well forward so your hand is close to the shearing head it is comfortable to work with. We continue to remain highly critical of all electrical machines which have the on/off switch located in the rear, as we believe this is detrimental to the operator's safety in an emergency situation especially when livestock are involved.

A well-engineered machine noted for solid reliable performance. The powerful 170-watt motor producing an ultra efficient heavy-duty appliance, affording the operator many hours of reliable clipping and is cool running even in prolonged situations Ideal for cleaning up cattle, especially if fitted with a "Wizard "blade, which also clips sheep.

Features include easy maintenance; 5 meters of hard-wearing two core rubber sheathed cable, double insulation and built in thermal over load. Lister's extensive range of cutters and combs deal with most tasks, alternatively Heiniger offer an even greater and often less expensive alternative selection. We understand a cattle head can be fitted to this machine - alternatively fit a "wizard" blade, which will clip both sheep and cattle. This blade is especially useful for those with dirty store cattle. 12v model identical, other than for crocodile clips for battery use.

The down side! The weight, noise level and a rather less than comfortable hand grip especially once your hands have picked up some of the oily lanolin off the fleeces - these are the real issues we feel!
Shame really because it is a very robust and reliable machine, and from such a famous manufacturer of sheep shearing equipment one would have expected the hand grip size in particular to be something they would have sought to redesign.

The electrical machines we offer for sale are principally for use with the electrical supply system operation in the UK namely 240volt.

This machine is there equipped with a 240 motor and component parts and will have a supporting identification plate on the casing. In addition to working on the UK electrical system it can be used on any European 220/240 volt system.

However it is supplied with a UK 3-pin plug and therefore will need an appropriate "adaptor" plug into which the UK 3-pin will fit. Whilst these are not readily available to us they can be easily obtained at your local electrical outlet.

Customers out side of the UK and European Countries should check their electrical supply rating and seek professional advice from a qualified electrician.

USA Customers should note that with a national 110-volt electrical supply system 240-volt products will need specialist converter equipment and may still not work. It is recommended that you seek professional advice from a qualified electrician before making a purchase.
