The Andis "Power De- shedder Plus" is a battery operated tool which is essentially a vibrating furminator.

The Andis concept is modelled on the highly successful and rather more expensive "FURminator" de-shedding tool but improved with the addition of a battery powered mild and gentle vibration action to sooth whilst grooming!

Large size - Ideal for the large dog breeds - it has a 4-inch/10cm stainless steel blade head comprising of one hundred plus slender non sharp nor cutting teeth, with easily accessible on/off switch which can be thumb operated
Testing it on two short haired and different textured Germans Shepherds - neither of whom particularly like brushes or slickers - it worked well on both and did a good job removing a large quantity of dead and loose hair - also, and the most noticeable effect apart from a smart clean coat, was the complete acceptance of a "motorised" grooming tool on their bodies. Both seemed completely relaxed as they were groomed, which normally not the case with brushes or slickas!

The Power De-Shedder Plus has a unique and exclusive power vibrating action that helps the tool glide through the coat and provide a relaxing massaging action for the animal. The vibrating comb gently massages and calms the animal while removing undercoat and loose hair. We found it pays to take a relaxed approach to the grooming and let the tool do the job rather than try pushing it through the coat.

The blade is fitted securely into the head of the grooming tool and has approximately 50 fine spaced teeth which despite the appearance of being sharp do not cause any "cutting" of skin if correctly applied.

The Andis de shedder is modelled on the highly successful and rather more expensive "FURminator" de-shedding tool but improved with the addition of a battery powered mild and gentle vibration action to sooth whilst grooming!

For many medium sized dog breeds, short or long haired cat breeds and a number of the rabbit breeds this will prove a refreshing introduction to regular grooming with all the benefit such regular husbandry creates.
