In addition repairs of an electrical nature or situations involving the main body casing being opened, legally require a "mandatory" electrical test to be undertaken at an approved repair centre before the machine is used again.

PLEASE NOTE!
Manufacturers recommend that carbon brushes are renewed as a pair and not individually as this may cause damage to the motor system of your clipper.
Carbon brushes should be checked periodically to access wear and avoid any motor damage.
Information on Carbon brush "life hours" can usually be found in the clipper manual.
Un-screw brush cap to remove brushes.
To check for wear and replacement, remove brushes and compare the length of the round and square sections of each brush. If the square section has worn to the length of the round section, the brushes need to be replaced to avoid potential damage to the motor and armature with associated costly replacement.

When un-screwing the carbon brush housing caps, the existing carbon brush and spring may "fly" out!
When replacing - the carbon brush is inserted first - the spring next!

PLEASE NOTE:
Ensure the two hair thin metal spring sprigs protruding from the hinge assembly (see red arrows) are both correctly seated in the small pin sized holes on the right and left hand sides of the latch assembly as these are essential to the latch release control working correctly.
The latch release assembly is located and fixed behind the hinge assembly.
Position and keep both in place before re-screwing both the latch and hinge to the clipper head.

Un-screw and remove the makers name plate on the head of the clipper to locate the blade drive lever. Assembly can be seen from the diagram above.
Please note the warnings about excess greasing gven on the parts diagram!
