Lister blades are described as "self clearing" - a feature which allows the hair to be swept away from the cutting teeth therefore enabling blades to clip at all times.
Precision ground ribbing on the back of the blades, in addition to reducing weight, adds stiffness from front to heal and flexibility from side to side. This combination we understand produces an optimum cutting action, reduces drag whilst clipping, and makes re-sharpening easier
The medium blade is a popular and most often used blade for horses, meeting most owner's requirements for a standard winter clip. Also a frequently used blade for summer clipped show cattle.

Some Lister cutter blades (smaller - upper plate) are now supplied with a plastic "yoke" (the part that the crank shaft roller fits into) that can be renewed with a new "yoke" should wear be experienced.
Customers will need to distinguish whether nor not their blades are fitted with a screw fixed "yoke" or a plastic "welded" fixing. Only screw fixed "yokes can be replaced.
In order to renew the Yoke, new screws may be required.

A more open toothed blade with fewer teeth in the comb blade resulting in a wider gap between blade teeth.

"Wizard" blades enable one to clip and dag sheep with your Lister cattle/horse clipper, whereas normally you would have to use a sheep head, or a sheep shearing machine according to which model of Lister clipper you have.
Wizard Sheep blades differ slightly to the Cattle version in that they are referred to as being "not butted and with some lead". In lay terms this means the cutter is very slightly "laid back" from the comb by approx. 3/16th on an inch
Wizard Cattle blades are "butted" meaning that both the cutter and comb have no noticeable distance between the tips of the blades
Wizard Sheep blades are intended for clipping sheep using any one of the principal Lister clipping machines Showman/Laser/Stablemate/Neon.
