A cow or bull, yearling or calf wearing a leather halter provide the ultimate finish to a well-prepared show animal. Rope halters are fine, and look very smart, but leather just lifts the presentation of your well turned out animal to a higher and professional looking level!
Each year more show cattle, beef or dairy, enter the show ring adorned with a PEASRIDGE quality made leather halter. Stockpersons around the world acknowledge the quality and craftsmanship of our halters. Cheap halters can be easily purchased elsewhere and we are content with the fact that some may not value the quality of English leather. Quality hand made cattle halters are a scarce commodity!
Our show halters are made from the finest quality English leather, and hand stitched by skilled craftsmen who have been in the leather trade for years. They are designed to be made to last and providing they are suitably cared for they will give service for many years. They provide a distinctive appearance to your show animal without the feel of being "over dressed."
The "Hereford" range of halters is crafted in high quality brown leather, and hand stitched. Each halter is fitted with the quality made brass "O" rings at the cheeks and brass buckles and strap keeps. Five holes either side of the cheek straps provide good headband adjustment.
"Hereford" halters are supplied with a quality brass 24-inch long chain fitted with a trigger type clip, which clips through the cheek "O" ring, and on to which either a white lead rope or matching leather lead rein can be fitted. (Lead reins are not provided with halters!)
The stylish noseband is double leather sided and hand stitched. It is fitted with a brass "star" centre tip, and matching brass "half moons" tips either side. Two pairs of double holes either side provide for ample adjustment across the nose.
Customers who prefer a leather-matching chinstrap can request this as an optional extra, and it will be made to order. However please note that you need to place your order a minimum of 4 weeks prior to required delivery date, as we do not hold these in stock. Orders for chinstraps should be either e-mailed or telephoned to our sales department. A price will be given to you at the time.
The supporting diagram given below identifies the measurements of the halter.

Slight variation in measurements may occur the process of manufacturing from time to time.
Head strap measurements (A to B) can be extended from min of 40-inches to max of 51-inches and the noseband (C to D) will extend from 18-19-inches.
