The blade-grinding machine is supplied with the following component parts

Ideally the grinder unit should be fixed to a sturdy work bench or similar location. Depending on the chosen location a small degree of simple construction involving a mounting block may be necessary before assembling and use. This will largely depend on where and on what you position the machine. A firm and flat working base is important (A fully descriptive instruction manual is supplied.)
Sharpening is a skilled operation, requiring professionally made machinery especially regarding the sharpening discs. Blade sharpening is a skill, which can be mastered but does require practice in order to achieve a high percentage of success.
Blades - both upper and lower plates will need to be fixed to specially made wooden block in a secure way. These blocks are designed for particular types of blades and are fitted with special holding pins and magnets to ensure the blade is offer correctly to the grinding wheel during the sharpening process.
Those persons planning to sharpen a variety of blades will need to have specialist blocks made. These can be supplied but a list of likely blades to be sharpened will be need before we can advise on the suitable blaocks needed.
Sheep shearing cutters and combs require a different made block compared to the block used for horse/cattle or dog blades. This block will accommodate most makes of traditional shearing cutters and combs.
Maintenance on the machine and wheel is low. Periodically the wheel requires cleaning and for this purpose one should use petroleum and a strong brush to clean the ribbed surface. All old emery deposits will be removed with frequent brushing.
Applications of the special emery wax are needed from time to time depending on the volume of blades sharpened.
