Aesculap A5 "detachable" wide blades
IMPORTANT CUSTOMER INFORMATION.
It has come to our and Aesculap' s attention that some customers using various Aesculap blades may experience difficulties in the re-sharpening quality of these blades having once been used as new from the Aesculap factory.
Of course there should not be any problems if the sharpening is done correctly and by suitably skilled blade sharpeners familiar with the Aesculap various type blades, who are using the correct lapping machinery for the sharpening, and following Aesculap recommendations for lapping.
Aesculap blades have a history of remaining sharp for long periods when correctly sharpened. Indeed many cases suggest even with frequent daily use these blades can remain sharp for periods sometimes exceeding a year.
One cannot stress enough that the key factor to their lasting performance is dependant to a large extent on how they are sharpened and where necessary reset!
The sharpening problems appears to centre around several factors
· Inexperience in correct methods of sharpening this type of blade
· Use of the wrong type machinery
· Lack of understanding how Aesculap blades should be both sharpened and if necessary tensioned correctly before returning to the customer.
· An inability to tension correctly - in respect of Favorita II blades.
Whilst Aesculap are attempting to re-dress the situation urgently - this will regrettably take time.
In the mean time we would urge all customers who are experiencing problems either with their clippers or blades to send them to us and in the worst cases we may return them to the Aesculap factory for refurbishing. Be assured however both we and Aesculap are anxious that the performance quality of these outstanding machines is safeguarded at all times.
Hopefully we will be able to ensure you enjoy the high performance for which these machines and their blades are renowned.

BLADES - AESCULAP - GT339 - #10W -2.4mm

A "Full tooth" blade for smooth velvet finish.
This blade differs from the Oster #10W in cutting length. The Oster #10W is a close 1.5mm, this blade offers a wider range of application by being 2.4mm clip depth.
Wide blades of this nature automatically have an immediate attraction for the full body clipping of horses, show cattle, alpacas, and of course many of the larger dog breeds.
In the case of horses this is a blade, which closely follows the widely used Moser wide steel 2.4mm blade (one of the best blades currently available!) and offers an attractive alternative! Perfect for full body clipping.
Ideal for many of the detachable blade clippers now popularly used for horse clipping - including the Moser "Avalon" and "Artiko", Moser KM1 and Max 45, as well as the Laube range of machines, Oster A5 and Power Pro, Andis AGC range and AGRC+ cordless,
In the case of show cattle - dairy and beef, this is a blade, which will be popular especially for the autumn fat stock show preparation work.
Small studs of Alpaca owners using a Moser KM1 or similar detachable clippers will find this blade highly attractive for full body clipping.
Dog grooming parlours and individual dog owner with large breed will find it very suitable for general work, especially for hot summer clips
Comb attachments are not usually fitted to this type of blade nor are they consider suitable.
